The Airbag light just came on? Do not panic. Your vehicle’s on-board computer has detected a safety device malfunction that could be related to your airbags or seat belts. These devices protect you during an impact and prevent your head from hitting the steering wheel. However, although the on-board computer has detected a problem, this does not mean that your airbags will deploy while you are driving (actually, it is virtually impossible that your airbags deploy without being triggered by a violent impact). Nevertheless, you should absolutely have your system inspected by a mechanic.
